Job Description

Job Title: Exams Invigilator/ProctorLocation: Mississauga, ONWho we are:ILSC Toronto Testing Centre provides high-stakes English language proficiency tests (IELTSamp; CELPIP) at locations across Canada. Our mission is to provide fair tests in a friendly and progressive setting. ILSC clients are predominantly international professionals and students, and thus it is required that all staff are committed to promoting equity, and fairness. Many of our staff are multilingual, and our goal is to have our staff reflect the diversity of our clients.The Role: ILSC Toronto Testing Centre seeks a dependable, customer-focused, and highly professional Exams Invigilator/Proctor to join our team in Downtown Toronto and Scarborough.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-orientated, and capable of working in a fast-paced testing environment. The Exams Invigilator/Proctor will be considered an independent contractor who will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. We are currently looking for candidates who are available to pick up shifts on weekdays and occasionally on weekends.Responsibilitiesamp; Duties:

  • Setting up test rooms and equipment at the venue as required
  • Checking in and out test taker #39;s personal belongings
  • Checking in test-takers using IELTS and other high-stakes testing processes
  • Administering and invigilating tests
  • Cleaning up after tests
  • Lifting and pushing/pulling bins that weight up to 30lbs
  • Other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Awareness of and experience with high-stakes testing, including IELTS and CELPIP is an asset
  • Saturday availability is a MUST; weekday availability is an asset
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Ability to work under examination conditions with respect for confidentiality and secure information
  • A valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is an asset
Qualifications:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a part of a team or alone as required
  • Able to accurately follow predetermined instructions
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
  • Available to work outside of normal business hours and comfortable spending long periods of time pacing, standing, or sitting.
