JVS Toronto also offers permanent employees a generous vacation package, a pension plan in addition to paid sick time, family care and wellness days.Program OverviewThis position will support 2 MLITSD funded bridge training program- ISAGE and READY.International Skills Applied for Geriatrics (ISAGE) is a program for Internationally Educated Professionals in Healthcare, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources and other related licensed occupations delivered in partnership with George Brown College to gain relevant skills and explore alternative careers in the field of Gerontology and Social Services. Recruitment for Equity, Accessibility and Diversity (READY) is a program for Internationally Trained Professionals with a background in Human Resource and Recruitment to integrate into commensurate employment in Canada in the recruitment sector. The program is delivered in partnership with George Brown College and Ares Staffing. The JVS North Employment Source office, provides employment services to unemployed individualsof all ages, backgrounds and skills to help them gain employment within their field or a related field. To achieve this goal, a range of services is provided at one location including information and referral services, one-on-one employment counselling, employment workshops, and job development/placement services.We are looking for a detail oriented, organized team player that provides administrative support for both bridge training programs and other JVS initiatives working with the program employment counsellors/facilitators, manager and workforce specialist.The incumbent in this role will be responsible for tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Join Centralized Intake team to conduct client intake across JVS programs, , screen referrals for appropriate programs; understand the flow of client activities for all programs
  • Assume all the administrative duties related to client recruitment
  • Liaise with program partners – GBC, ARES, and guest speakers, handling scheduling and administration
  • Assist with workshop material preparation, set up equipment for presentations and provide technical support for online sessions and JVS Online Learning Management System
  • Help maintain and manage funder and agency various client databases. Set up, maintain, and close clients’ records in EOIS CAMS as requested. Prepare rosters of clients as needed
  • Create and manage data in excel spreadsheets, provide data summary to management per request. Support development of statistical and program reports
  • Organize appointments, info sessions, orientations, and support workshops
  • Provide front desk/ reception duties and customer service to all clients, employers and visitors
  • Provide full clerical support to programs’ staff
  • Other duties as assigned
Flexible hours / evenings / weekends may be required for this position.Minimum Qualificationsamp; Experience:
  • High school education; Diploma or Certificate in Administration preferred
  • 2 years of administrative experience
  • Excellent administrative, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to learn any systems used by the agency (ie. EOIS, CaMS, SalesForce, etc.); Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven expertise in performing efficiently and effectively in a high pace environment
  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Knowledge of Ontario Bridge Training Programs
  • Employment Ontario knowledge and exposure
  • Experience with online tools and platforms
  • Expertise in serving Internationally Trained professionals
  • Ability to work accurately with financial documentation
