Job Description

PMF Brands (Nanak Foods) is hiring an ambitious and dynamic Regional Sales Manager who would be responsible for the Company’s sales operations in Ontario and the Maritimes regions. This is a remote position, but regional travel may be required.Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a sales team to achieve PMF Brands’ sales targets within Ontario and the Maritimes region by developing and implementing sales strategies, building relationships with key accounts, and managing the sales team to meet or exceed performance goals.About Our ClientFrom modest beginnings, PMF Brands (Nanak Foods) is now North America’s largest processor of traditional dairy-based South Asian foods. Established in 1997, and wholly owned by Canadian shareholders of South Asian descent, Nanak Foods specializes in the manufacturing of paneer cheese, ghee (clarified butter), yogurt and various dairy-based appetizers and desserts. Nanak Foods manufacturing facilities are CFIA, FDA and EU approved and have Safe Quality Food (SQF) level 3 certification ensuring continual monitoring for quality, safety and legality.About YouYou are an ambitious and dynamic sales management professional with experience in regional or territory sales in the food manufacturing / processing industries in Canada. You have strong skills in leadership, communication, sales strategies and data analysis and previously led and mentored a regional sales team within Ontario and the Maritimes region for food manufacturing / processing companies.Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned region, focusing on increasing sales and market share.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and coach a regional sales team to achieve targets and performance goals.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts in the grocery retail industry, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating leads and developing a strong pipeline in the grocery retail industry.
  • Sales Process and Execution: Manage the sales process from lead generation to close, ensuring efficient and effective sales operations.
  • Sales Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and prepare regular sales reports.
  • Product Knowledge and Market Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate sales contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to support sales efforts.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of regional or territory sales experience within grocery retail industry, representing food processing companies in the Ontario and the Maritimes regions.
  • Education: Bachelor #39;s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Ability to develop and implement effective sales plans.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the food processing manufacturing industry, its products, and customers; dairy-based South Asian food processing industry knowledge is a strong asset.
  • Communicationamp; Negotiation: Excellent communication skills and negotiation abilities.
  • Travel: Candidates must have a valid Drivers’ License and ability to travel within the region as required.
