Job Description

The Senior Content Strategist is tasked with maintaining the highest standards in content planning and development, balancing strategic foresight with meticulous resource and talent management. Their role encompasses a multifaceted approach, requiring not only strategic acumen but also the ability to refine and evolve content processes across departments. Acting as a champion of content, they aim to deliver products that meet client objectives in the ever-evolving content landscape. This role involves leading strategic efforts for major projects, including new business initiatives, while also overseeing a team of Content Coordinators to ensure the agency can meet a diverse range of content needs effectively.With deep expertise in paid, earned, and owned media, the Senior Content Strategist collaborates closely with internal and external teams of varying levels to drive content initiatives across relevant platforms. They facilitate sessions with stakeholders from c-suite executives to junior content media managers, inspiring creativity and providing insightful direction. Their extensive experience in content strategy and integration enables them to develop tools, guidelines, and playbooks while accurately planning scopes for new and existing clients. Their role as the#39;strategic validator #39; ensures that all content concepts align with the overarching strategy, validating decisions throughout the process to maintain alignment and effectiveness.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Define project scope and allocate strategic resources to ensure effective execution, considering personnel, technology, and other assets required.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities for clients and enforce processes to maintain engagement quality and consistency.
  • Support new business pitches by crafting compelling narratives grounded in an insightful analysis of market trends and client needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key clients, understanding their evolving needs and introducing new opportunities aligned with their objectives.
  • Drive creative solutions that positively impact client ROI, aligning creative efforts with business goals.
  • Analyze business hurdles, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand brand, marketing, and business objectives comprehensively.
  • Recommend strategic approaches that meet clients #39; objectives, leveraging insights to drive effective competition.
Ideal profile
  • 5-8 years’ strategy experience, ideally in advertising, marketing, or consulting, with demonstrated excellence in brand and communication strategy.
  • Experience in team management and driving professional development, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
  • Proficiency in social platforms and understanding of paid, earned, and owned media, with the ability to develop insightful POVs on social media and digital engagement strategies.
  • Strong marketing understanding and critical thinking skills, capable of generating creative and analytical insights across business, consumer, and brand domains.
  • Solid qualitative and quantitative research skills to gather and apply relevant data effectively.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication abilities, able to engage effectively with stakeholders and clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and humble, with a sense of humour considered essential.
  • Strong leadership, social, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to multitask and problem-solve independently across various clients and projects.
