Evening and night shifts are available. We are looking for part-time to full-time staff that can commit to working every other weekend. Shifts can vary from 6hrs-12hrs. Job Benefits:

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing resident-focused care that meets the needs of residents
• Supporting residents in all areas of daily living including: behaviour management, community involvement, recreation, and education
• Maintaining open communication with residents and their families
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW or DSW certification
• Valid CPR certificate
• Completion of Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Satisfactory professional references
• A minimum of 1 year experience working in a group home is required
• All staff are required to have a drivers license, car insurance, and their own vehicle
• Preference will be given to candidates who have CPI training*
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
