Job Description

REPORTS TO: Property Maintenance ManagerRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
• Operate bulldozers or other heavy equipment to clear brush and stumps prior to logging activities and to build roads at logging and surface mining sites
• Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargo
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.
• Excavate and install water and sewer lines in various landscapes
• Operate equipment to conduct snow removal

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Quality of service meets or exceeds company standards
• Health and Safety guideline compliance
• Timeliness of tasks achieved in line with expectations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including shift work and weekends
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable conducting repetitive tasks
• Comprehend detailed instructions both orally and written
• Heavy machinery license, experience, and training (Class 1 &/or Class 3A)
• Highly motivated and enabled with problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities
• Demonstrate skills at a professional level with integrity

REQUIREMENTS:

• WHMIS Certification
• Ability to lift/exert up to 50lbs
• High school, or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training is considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $40,000.00-$58,000.00 per yearBenefits:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
