In this role, you will lead the New Glasgow Public Works team, ensuring seamless operations, effective planning, and unwavering commitment to our level of service parameters.Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Public Works, you will oversee the Transportation, Environmental Services, and Mechanical (Fleet) divisions, serving as the key interface for all public works services. Your responsibilities will encompass performance management, hiring and training, people management, project planning, and budget maintenance. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in asset management, climate action, and compliance with the Nova Scotia Accessibility Act.What qualities do we seek in the ideal candidateTo thrive in this position, you hold a degree in civil engineering (P.Eng. designation preferred) or a relevant engineering discipline, such as CET.
