Job Description

Floater Position (Office clerk/Security/Lab/Stores) This incumbent will fill in for vacations and unscheduled absences. The Production portion of this position is to provide accurate and detailed production information and to coordinate and manage the flow of this information from the Production Personnel through the computer, to management. The Accounts Payable portion of this position is to respond to problem invoices on the A/P Chicago system and process manual system invoices. Reply to suppliers regarding payment inquiries. The Payroll portion of this position is responsible to be involved in the preparation of the Payroll. Check and process weekly payroll and meet all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly payroll deadlines. The Security portion of this position is responsible to control personnel and vehicular access to and from the Plant site and to patrol Plant site in accordance with the insurance underwriter #39;s requirements. As part of the security the incumbent will also need to provide security when needed at our Marie Terminal when a vessel is present for loading. The Quality Control Lab portion of this position is responsible for monitoring all quality aspects of the rock salt production (including finished goods). Also the collection of water samples for analysis and may also collect, compile, analyze and report various data as needed. This individual is responsible for product safety, quality and legality. The Stores portion of this position is to provide a service for Plant Production and Maintenance Departments through the receiving, storing and issuing of Stores Inventory Material, as well as, receiving and issuing of all incoming direct charge material and processing of outgoing items other than salt. This position, once trained, will fill in for vacancies for the positions listed. The hours worked will range from 8 hours/week to 48 hours/week. This is a unionized position.
