Job Description

Social Media and Marketing InternAttention High School Graduates or Current Post Secondary StudentsHere we grow again!Urban Roots Inc. is a Landscape and Property Maintenance company, located in Trenton, NS. As we continue to grow our team, we are looking for a Social Media and Marketing Intern. The right fit for this role will be someone who can coordinate marketing initiatives and create calendars for social media campaigns, work towards improving brand recognition and our social media reach across multiple platforms. Working with management, this employee will develop advertising and social media posts, study and report algorithms across various platforms, research trends to keep our Company information updated/current, and create a brand marketing strategy to seek new marketing opportunities.This position will see the selected candidate working directly with our Landscape Designer, our Arborist, and our Landscape Construction Foreperson; assisting with site assessments, taking photos for projects and media, and creating documentation where required.Having knowledge, experience in an office setting and/or enrolled in a current Business program will be considered an asset, as the candidate will be expected to assist in day-to-day office duties; supporting our administrative staff in areas of HR, Health and Safety, Bookkeeping, file maintenance, cataloging, etc.This position is for 32–40 hours per week June through to end of Aug with potential to become a permanent position. Position wage range is $15.25 to $17.00 per hour.Must be able to make site visits; therefore, a valid drivers license, and reliable vehicle is a must.
