Job Description

Vantage Motors is seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk to join our growing team!As an employee of Steele Auto Group, we always put you first. As an Accounting Clerk, you will take pride in attention to detail, be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills. Reporting directly to the dealership Controller, you will have the unique opportunity to develop accounting skills exclusive to the automotive industry.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Month End Reconciliations
  • Daily Deposit / Petty Cash
  • Posting car deals
  • Provide support to the Controller
  • Full cycle accounting
  • Review and post accounts payable & receivable
  • Review and post monthly entries and complete month-end reports
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting
  • 1+ years experience in an accounting role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of PBS accounting systems is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong critical thinking skills
