We offer a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with opportunities for professional growth, recognition and advancement.We are is looking for an Administrative Assistant (part-time) to join our team in our Truro location.The candidate must be able to organize and coordinate administrative duties, create and maintain a pleasant work environment and effectively interact with all levels of management; be comfortable and confident with computers and general office tasks.

  • Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
What You’ll Do
  • Previous experience providing administrative support and/or front desk reception an asset ;
  • Accounting knowledge and/or experience;
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal;
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organizational skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload accordingly;
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly;
  • Professional and courteous, able to focus on meeting deadlines;
  • Be proficient in general office tasks such as scanning, faxing and copying documents;
  • Passionate about helping others and a proven ability to provide exceptional customer service;
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and exercises discretion to ensure confidential information is handled appropriately.
What We’re Looking For
  • First point of contact for all visitors and incoming calls;
  • Providing general administrative support to Operations Manager and addressing employee queries regarding office management issues;
  • Maintain polite and professional communication in person, via phone and email;
  • Mailing (sorting incoming and preparing out-going mail), ordering/picking up supplies and perform banking when required;
  • Coordinate with IT department on office equipment (computers, printers, phones);
  • Crucial role in handling the day to day activities of the accounting duties accurately, applying various accounting processes; accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections;
  • Work virtually with the finance team who provides direction to perform the relevant accounting and financial tasks, confirm the flow of all the cash transactions, verifying the accuracy of financial records;
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
