Additional benefits include:Free onsite parkingEmployee discounts on select apparel, fitness, and retail partners through our Perks ProgramAccess to continuing education and training through Shannex’s Centre of ExcellenceOpportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiativesRecognition and Rewards for service excellence and safetyAbout the OpportunityActs as receptionist, and manages facility finances, including but not limited to; effectively monitoring departmental budget spending, and placing orders for supplies including office supplies and nursing supplies.Completes weekly deposits, petty cash remittances, purchase orders, invoice approvals, while maintaining processes.Provides general administrative support, including but not limited to; booking meetings, maintaining resident information and monthly admissions and transfers, and ensure filing systems and documentation are up to date and audited as needed.Manages and maintains accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable, while ensuring financial policies and procedures are followed.Maintains archived paper and electronic copies, prepares and processes expense forms for management, and reconcile corporate credit card purchases and statements.About YouIn addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:An office administration or related professional diploma, and a minimum of three years experience providing administrative support services.High level of proficiency using Microsoft excel, and intermediate proficiency using other Microsoft programs.Proficiency operating a multi-line telephone systemKnowledge of accounting principals, as well as familiarity with the process of ordering, receiving and reconciling supply orders and services.Knowledge of great plains accounting software, and experience working with seniors’, or a health-related industry is an asset.A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.About UsIt all began in 1988 when our Founder, Joseph Shannon, purchased a single nursing home in his hometown of Sydney, Cape Breton.
