Job Description

Centennial Carstar Truro is looking for an organized, motivated individual to join our team as Auto Body Prepper!NOW HIRING: Auto Body PrepperLOCATION: Centennial Carstar, Truo, NSHOURS: Full time, Permanent. 40 hours per week.WAGES: $14.50 - $21.50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)THE PERFECT FIT:You’re a motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, and customer service focused individual who works well in a team environment. You have previous experience as an automotive prepper, or experience in a similar field, and your mission is to always provide ultimate customer satisfaction.APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be reliable and show initiative
  • Applicant must be capable of multitasking, prioritizing, working independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • You are physically capable of doing the job which includes frequently bending, crouching, reaching. You are also able to handle tools and lift approximately 51lbs.
  • Previous experience is necessary. Additional training will be provided.
MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare the vehicle for paint after the Body Technicians finish the repairs to a vehicle.
  • Sanding
  • Application of primer base coat colour and clear coat
  • Masking of vehicles
  • Moving vehicles in and out of shop
  • Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions
