Aggregate Equipment is a leading supplier of crushing, screening, and paving equipment in Atlantic Canada. Our Belting Division is the area’s largest supplier of quality parts, sales, and service for industrial conveyor belt applications.We have an immediate requirement for a General Labourer to work in the Belting Division as a helper for the Splice Technicians. This is an entry level position which could lead to permanent full-time employment, and training to be a Splice Technician. · Assisting an experienced Splice Technician with cutting and splicing conveyor belts· Learning to repair and splice belts safely and effectively· Frequent heavy lifting and carrying large equipment· Working in an industrial setting; shops, mines, and quarries· Working outdoors frequently and in all weathers· Long and irregular hours; overnight extended travel periodically· Participation in safety training and abiding by safety standards and requirements of each worksite· Full time work with On-Call hours (meaning an average of 40 hours per week guaranteed over each three-month period)Qualifications: · Previous experience working around conveyor systems or construction sites· High School Graduation or GED· Class 5 License and clean driver’s abstract· Clean drug and alcohol test· Background check due to work in secure locations· COVID Vaccination due to inter-provincial travel· Good physical health and ability to lift heavy equipmentAggregate Equipment is a family oriented, locally owned and operated company which has been in operation since 2001.
