Job Description

At Pye Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited we strive to prioritize the complete customer experience by creating personal connections and relationships that last a lifetime. We operate a small but efficient direct repair facility in rural Nova Scotia, and we have a vacancy for the Collision Centre Manager role.We are looking for someone with a desire to lead who can take responsibility for the department and join us in our community-minded aspirations through work in automotive.To perform this role well, you should be the kind of go-getter or self-starter that’s highly organized and process minded. Business must continually adapt, so we strive to invite people into our organization who demonstrate an open mind to new ideas and practices.Responsibilities: Daily Operations:

  • Shop workflow: overseeing weekly and daily scheduling
  • Job progress and dispatch: oversee job progress and assign technicians work to maximize shop productivity
  • Opening, constructing, and closing work orders
  • Assist in writing estimates using Mitchell & Audatex
Relationship Management:
  • Build & strengthen relationships with insurers, vendors, customers, and the community
  • Collaborate with internal departments
  • Honour the guest & inspire the best – be a champion for excellent customer service
Personnel ManagementBusiness Objectives:
  • Establish estimating and sales targets to meet forecasts
  • Monitor & review department KPIs
Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience in a collision centre, automotive environment, or insurance industry
  • Previous experience as an auto body repair technician, body shop estimator/damage collision appraiser or repair planner considered an advantage
  • Administrative and management experience preferred
  • Experience using Mitchell & Audatex an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
