The role can be stationed at our office in Truro, NS or any of our airport locations.About the Position:The Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for filling multiple roles across the organization and will work closely with station management to ensure that staffing needs are identified, targets are set, and goals are attained. The recruiting experience is an important moment for every applicant, the Corporate Recruiter is responsible to ensure that every candidate has a positive experience throughout the recruitment experience. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all employee-focused regulations and state and federal rules and regulations;
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting activities including but not limited to posting, sourcing, screening resumes, performing in-person, phone and virtual interviews for assigned location(s);
  • Develop and maintain a Community Outreach plan, which would include participating in local job fairs, other outreach events and networking as necessary;
  • Create and maintain overall recruiting strategy and staffing plan for assigned stations with collaboration of the hiring managers;
  • Identify new ways to build awareness of the Inland Group of Companies employment brand and raise our profile in the communities in which we live and work;
  • Generate a suitable flow of candidates; use social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source candidates for open jobs; provide pre-qualified candidates, interview, and follow-up with the hiring manager on potential fit of those candidates who meet their job requirements and preferences;
  • Guide candidates and hiring managers through the recruiting process, including pre-qualifying, interviewing and the offer/negotiation process;
  • Maintain the content of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for assigned stations, including applicant flow data, EEO data, or other data as designated;
  • Utilize operational analysis, trending, benchmarking, and research to support leadership and your manager with projections for staffing/personnel needs;
  • Utilize metrics analysis to show turnover and retention, time to fill, and provide on-demand reports;
  • Provide weekly analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the HR team;
  • Monitor industry standards of recruiting and retention to include business intelligence on competitor offerings to prospective candidates and communicate finding to management;
  • Assist on projects within the HR team and make recommendations for improvement and changes to maintain the highest levels of employee satisfaction;
  • Perform other projects, duties, and assignments as needed.
Please Note: This role requires the ability to travel to facilities throughout Canada and the United States, possibly on short notice, to meet immediate business needs.Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources;
  • Bilingual communication skills in French and English;
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or relevant post-secondary education and a combination of continuing education and experience;
  • Experience coordinating with full-cycle recruitment;
  • Experience managing applicant flow through use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
  • Experience with social media recruiting required with the ability to identify and successfully make use of non-traditional recruitment method, applying creativity and originality to reach passive candidates;
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to manage several competing tasks and demands simultaneously;
  • Excellent communicator, using both verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas;
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines and must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach;
  • Ability to exhibit sound judgement and confidentiality;
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
