Job Description

** For internal use: position eligible to the referral program.Hourly rate offered: $20.00 per hourCHALLENGES WE OFFERWorking at our Truro Feed Mill, this position could involve various tasks including:

  • Running equipment;
  • Milling bags of feed;
  • Mixing and/or weighing product;
  • Processing sales;
  • Loading and unloading shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g. lift truck, forklift, etc.;
  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality; and
  • Assisting in the scheduling of freight appointments.
YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:The successful applicant will be a strong team player and will:
  • be physically fit (able to repeatedly lift 50kg);
  • have good coordination;
  • have a commitment to safety;
  • have a clean criminal background;
  • have a strong work ethic and positive attitude;
  • have great attention to detail in all areas of work;
  • have general knowledge of safe work practices and safe lifting methods; and
  • be comfortable working with heights (ladders with safety railings).
Experience with manual labour would be an asset as well as having basic computer skills. Candidates must be adaptable to flexible work hours including night shifts. They must also be able to work in a dusty environment. Safety footwear is required.Quick Apply
