To hear more about us please visit our website https://www.itape.com/Position DescriptionTitle: HR CoordinatorPosition Summary: The position is based in Truro, NS and reports to the HR Manager. The HR Coordinator is responsible to help cover our staffing needs for a 6 month period. The HR Coordinator responsibilities include coordinating our hiring and orientation process, sourcing qualified candidates and applying advanced interviewing techniques. Principle Accountabilities

  • Meet with hiring managers and HR to discuss the hiring needs and formulate strategy.
  • Design and coordinate the hiring process.
  • Source qualified candidates via job sites, databases, networking etc.
  • Help establish connections with professional groups, communities and other organizations.
  • Select and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
  • Help hiring teams interview candidates through various methods (e.g. structured interviews, behavioural interviews).
  • Advise hiring managers to help them make better hiring decisions.
  • Create reports on hiring progress and other recruiting metrics.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires including coordinating the orientation process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree or certificate in HR Management or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Proven success as a recruiter
  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A high degree of flexibility to adapt to and effectively manage multiple priorities in a large size organization.
  • High standards of integrity, energy level, and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of applicable legislation and its applications.
  • Enthusiasm, energy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent attention to details, follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
What We Offer
  • Pay rate of $25/hr
  • Low commute times from Stewiacke, Belmont, Salmon River, Millbrook, Truro/ Truro Heights, Hilden, and Brookfield.
  • Paid weekly
  • Day Shift Position - Monday - Friday, 8-4:30
  • 6 month contract
