Job Description

Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for engines, pumps, blowers, valves, generators, VFDs and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Eastern Canada.If you are ready for meaningful challenges, eager to make a difference, and willing to go the extra mile, we invite you to apply to become an Inside Electrical Application Specialist within our Truro, Nova Scotia branch.Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Develop sales opportunities and create sales estimates using a high-level of technical expertise for power generation selection and system engineering to match customer requirements
  • Support and develop accounts by providing an elevated level of customer service, technical expertise, and sales support
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers
  • Manage and facilitate projects involving generators, motors, VFDs and ancillary units, assemblies, and parts
  • Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Sales and Branch Managers
Ideal candidates should be able to read engineered drawings and interpret technical specifications. Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision, performing as a self-directed employee is expected. Other necessary attributes include:
  • Post-secondary education in technical field would be considered an asset
  • Highly motivated individual, comfortable performing multiple assignments in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Strong background in electrical and power generation systems
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset
