Job Description

Kitting Inspector (Elastic)Stanfield’s, 1 Logan Street, Truro NSJob Summary: The Kitting Inspector is responsible for performing tasks necessary to process product returns, inspections, repackaging and quality management. The incumbent is cross trained to build, inspect, package and repackage orders from co-manufacturers and imports. The Kitting Inspector ensures orders are processed with quality and efficiency providing internal and external clients with consistent results that meet established deadlines. Key Responsibilities:Operational Performance and Production

  • Ensure goods are inspected thoroughly to prevent flawed, unfit or short shipped items from leaving the department.
  • Prepare kitting supplies for other departments. This role will be responsible for supplying elastic.
  • Meet deadlines established by Kitting Supervisor.
  • Follows ISO standard operating procedures, tracking and reporting non-conformances
  • Inspects goods to documented quality standards
  • Prepares packaging, kits and communicates quality or production concerns in a timely and constructive manner
  • Documents work performed as required including flawed goods, total boxes inspected etc.
  • Completes returns according to documented procedures
  • Assists in monthly and year end inventory counts
  • Collaborates with other departments and individuals to resolve/prevent production or quality issues
Education and Experience:High School – Manufacturing/Warehouse experience preferred Skills include:
  • Effective multi-tasking, excellent time management and organizational skills as demonstrated within a fast-paced environment and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal.
  • Quick learner, detail oriented with a continuous improvement attitude and aptitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Proven high standard of ethical work practices
