Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityWorking collaboratively and consultatively with the Zone Executive Director of Operations, the COVID Response Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic delivery of COVID response services within the assigned zone. Areas of responsibility include managerial oversight of provincial Primary Assessment Centers, Facility Access, Screening Services, and other COVID specific activities. The Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of all aspects of operations and day to day management of COVID Response Services within the applicable zone. The Manager applies strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.The Manager exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the COVID Response Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Direction of NSH.Travel to various facilities within the zone will be required.The location of this position is variable with Northern Zone and will be determined with the successful candidate.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health related discipline
  • Five (5) years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resources, and financial management within a unionized environment
  • Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee and self-development and continuous quality improvement
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, internet, email, and the ability to utilize health information systems for decision support
