Are you looking for a full-time, hands-on and challenging position with benefits Scotia Recycling Limited, Atlantic Canadas leading recycling company is seeking Mobile Equipment Operators to join their Truro, Dartmouth and Kentville facilities.Responsibilities may include depending on the position and/or location: · Sort, load/unload, and move recyclables and materials by hand or with material handling equipment· Operate balers· Friendly and courteous interaction with coworkers and contractors· Good housekeeping skills· Be punctual and attend work regularlyExperience/Skills: · Mobile equipment (forklift, skid-steer, etc.) experience is required; certification is an asset but not a requirement. (mobile equipment Operator only)· Ability to work at a standing work station for up to 2 hours at a time· Must be able to complete light to medium work (up to 50lbs)· Possesses good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail· Ability to work in hot and cold weather· Holds safety as a personal value and will make suggestions for improvement· Capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced team environment· Wants to do a job that helps to create a better environment for their communityCOVID Safety Requirement: In order to be eligible for employment with Scotia Recycling Limited, applicants must be fully vaccinated and be willing to comply with all related workplace safety rules such as wearing a compliant face mask.We offer an industry competitive hourly wage & benefits package to full-time staff.
