Position DetailsPosition InformationPosition Title Part-Time Academic (Intro to Plant Science - PLSC1001)- Sep-Dec 22Posting Number PTAP1626PDepartment/Unit Plant, Food and Envir SciencesLocation TruroJob Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThis part-time academic will teach lectures and labs for PLSC1001 Intro to Plant Science. Currently, lectures are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 10.05 to 11.25am, and labs are scheduled on Thursdays from 4.05pm to 5.55pm. Demonstration support is provided in the labs. Should COVID restrictions necessitate, the course could move to online/asynchronous delivery. This part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, field tours, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.Qualifications/Requirements of PositionRequirements: At least one year experience in teaching in a post secondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, collegiality and interpersonal skills.
