Position DetailsPosition InformationPosition Title Part-Time Academic (Plant Propagation Techniques - PLSC 2001) Fall 22Posting Number PTAP1625PDepartment/Unit Plant, Food and Envir SciencesLocation TruroJob Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThis Part-Time Academic will teach lectures and assist with labs for PLSC2001 Plant Propagation Techniques for the period of September – December 2022. The lectures are currently scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11.35am to 12.55pm. The incumbent will be responsible to deliver 3/4 of the total lectures. The labs are currently scheduled on Thursdays from 11.35am to 2.25pm. The incumbent will be responsible to deliver 3/4 of the total labs less 3 labs being delivered by an instructor. Should COVID restrictions necessitate, the course could move to online/asynchronous delivery. The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including 3/4 of the total lectures, 3/4 of the total labs less 3 labs being delivered by an instructor, field tours, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the chair of the Department.Qualifications/Requirements of PositionRequirements: At least one year experience in teaching in a post secondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, collegiality and interpersonal skills.
