  • Identify and develop new accounts
  • Prepare and present sales proposals with equipment options and performance data
  • Prepare territory and call plans, and maintain customer activity records
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical proficiency for generators, pumps, and other electrical products
  • Develop sales opportunities and create sales estimates using a high-level of technical expertise for power generation selection and system engineering to match customer requirements
  • Support and develop accounts by providing an elevated level of customer service, technical expertise, and sales support
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers
Ideal candidates should be able to read engineered drawings and interpret technical specifications. Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision, performing as a self-directed employee is expected. Geographic territory includes all of Nova Scotia, however, additional travel may be required outside Nova Scotia.Other necessary attributes include:
  • Proven sales and relationship management experience
  • Post-secondary education in a power generation, electrical or technical sales field is required
  • Highly motivated individual, comfortable performing multiple assignments in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Strong background in electrical and power generation systems
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
