Job Description

Darling Ingredients is Canada #39;s largest provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry, operating six processing facilities across Canada. Darling Ingredients provides essential services for the efficient and environmentally responsible management of collecting, processing and recycling edible and inedible animal by-products. POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Logistics Department, Truck Drivers are responsible for the pick-up of used cooking oil on a variety of routes and shifts. You will also be responsible for filling in for other drivers on vacation or on sick leave. We are looking for drivers with a passion for driving and a commitment to the environment to join our growing team! WE OFFER:

  • $25.38 per hour with Overtime after 42 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the pick-up of used cooking oil from a variety of locations throughout the Atlantic Provinces
  • Familiarity within the Atlantic Provinces is an asset
  • Team oriented and willing to assist with all routes
  • Tasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting etc.
  • Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork.
  • Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service oriented manner.
  • Required to formally report any concerns or customer service related issues.
  • Responsible for following all company and Health and Safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.
  • Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Ensure safe driving operations.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad-hoc issues that may arise.
  • Other duties including yard and plant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE:
  • Valid Class 1
  • Clean drivers/CVOR and abstract
  • Flexible to work overtime and a variety of shifts as required
  • Customer service orientated
