Our services include Courier Services, Light LTL, and Third-Party Logistics to the province of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland.Job Summary:We are currently looking for a Night Warehouse Supervisor to join our team based out of Truro, NS. The hours are Monday – Friday 4:30pm – 2:30am.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee all operations of the warehouse including unloading and loading of trucks, sorting of freight and trouble shooting any issues that ariseComplete receiving documents as needed, recording any damage, shorts or overages.Report any maintenance and safety issues as needed to the property and equipmentMaintain organized, clean, and tidy warehouse spacesGathering items required by drivers and sending items to other MBW locationsWork with Fleet Maintenance for moving of trucks and trailersScan and hand load freight into trailers, verifying route and in order of stop.Stack and secure freight to prevent damage.Segregate returned and damage freight in returns areas.Obtain forklift certification and perform daily pre-trip inspections on forkliftUnderstanding of MBW Courier/Municipal Enterprises Safety CultureCoordinate with Dispatch and Daytime Warehouse Supervisor at beginning of shiftHave weekly Toolbox and Safety Meetings, then enter into E-Compliance systemAbility to delegate and supervise Warehouse employees in a professional mannerismAdhere to all safety procedures to avoid injury.Any other duties as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:Class 5 Drivers LicenseMinimum High School DiplomaMechanical understanding of trucks and trailers would be an assetKnowledge of Courier considered an asset.Self-Starter with ability to make smart decisionsStrong Work EthicPositive and Enthusiastic Teamwork attitudeStrong organizational skills and able to adapt to changes when requiredGood communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent Customer Service skillsClean Criminal Record CheckA comprehensive pension and benefits package are offered with this position along with opportunities for advancement and training and development.Application Process:Completed applications should be submitted to:Human ResourcesAttention: HRVia Email: hr@mbwcourier.caPlease reference “Warehouse Supervisor†in the subject line.We are an equal opportunity employer that encourages all interested candidates to submit a detailed resume.We would like to thank all those who apply; however only those selected for an interview will be notified.The Municipal Group of Companies offers a competitive compensation and benefit package (medical, dental, and pension plan) and is an equal opportunity employer.We would like to thank all those who apply; however only those selected for an interview will be notified.Quick Apply
