Job Description

Job descriptionWe are looking for full-time experienced landscapers to lead a truck and crew, maintaining boulevards, centre islands, sidewalks, and bio-swales.Specific Responsibilities

  • Supervising a small crew
  • Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.
  • Mow lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
  • Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
  • Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
  • Aerate lawns as needed.
  • Clean Debris using leaf blower or broom.
  • Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
  • Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
  • Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
  • Gather and remove litter
Qualifications
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of how to use lawn and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to work safely in and around busy streets
  • Familiarity with material safety data sheets
  • Integrity and ability to work independently
  • High School Diploma
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to multi task and work independently
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain strict confidentiality
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal, PermenantSalary: $25.00-$28.00 per hour based on experienceJob Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: 5 monthsSalary: $25.00-$28.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Tsawwassen, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
  • Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • Drivers license (required)
