Job Description

AGAT Laboratories is a full-service laboratory with locations across Canada and the US. We are the most diversified laboratory in Canada. With a broad range of staff experience and state-of-the-art instrumentation, we provide cross-analytical solutions for the Environmental, Energy, Mining, Transportation, Industrial, Agri-food and Life Sciences sectors.SummaryAGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the review and creation of corporate business contracts and to identify, assess, and mitigate any risks that could negatively impact corporate operations.Duties:

  • Draft, review, and revise various business contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, and purchase agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on contract law and regulations to ensure compliance with US state, Canadian provincial and US and Canada federal laws.
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions with external parties.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting to renewal, ensuring all timelines and obligations are met.
  • Maintain and organize contract databases, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible and assist in AI development.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding contract requirements, terms, and updates.
  • Ensure the organization adheres to legal, regulatory, and industry standards related to contracts and proposals.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best industry practices
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the Paralegal field including contract review and creation
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience with MS Office.
  • Experience with Hubspot or other CRM programs is a definite asset
  • Organized and attention to details with ability to problem solve.
