  • Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;
  • Breeding monitoring: algae, daphnia, ceriodaphnia, fathead, trout;
  • Take care of the maintenance of equipment related to breeding and analyses;
  • Maintain one or more systems of aquariums or pools in open systems;
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP #39;s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;
  • Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;
  • Understand and troubleshoot analyses;
  • Provide input to corrective action procedures;
  • Ensure deadlines are met;
  • Ensure that equipment is appropriately maintained;
  • Use summary reports to plan and organize work;
  • Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations;
  • Keep their work area clean, neat and organized;
  • Contribute to daily and weekly planning;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or team leader.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
  • Have a diploma in bioecology, biology or other related diploma/experience;
  • Can work independently and as part of a team;
  • Have good record keeping skills and attention to detail;
  • Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook.
Working conditions:
  • Work schedule: day/evening/weekends (depending on needs, possibility of overtime)
  • Status: Full time, 37.5h/week
