Ref ID: 05050-0012453992Classification: Applications ArchitectCompensation: DOEThe Application Architect organizes the lifecycle of new development on future and existing products. In this role, you will be reviewing product requirements, designing product architecture, and managing daily product development efforts. You will be responsible for managing complex interactions between business processes and technologies as well as translating product specifications into production level applications.Responsibilities- Complete other related duties as assigned by management.- Aid in writing the technical section of functional specifications for new product development.- Architect, design, and document solutions to product specifications for shared capabilities throughout the architecture.- Work with the product team to understand requirements and create functionality specifications.- Manage the deployment of alpha and beta releases during the stabilization of new product development.- Set and grow development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics.- Play an important role in code development for web-based n-tier applications.- Conduct code reviews -- identifying best practices and efficiency steps for increased stability and capability.- Manage the timeline for product development.- Develop cross-product frameworks and best practices, and design, establish, and maintain technical architecture standards.- Aid in product release planning and helps assess feature viability/effort.- Provide technical and non-technical mentorship and oversight to developers.- Help team members so that they grow abilities and strengthen capabilities.Job Requirements:- 5+ years of experience in team management in a related field.- BA/BS in Software Engineering or Computer Science.- Capable of decomposing and prioritizing components of large systems.- Skilled in threading, asynchronous event handling, data binding, scripting and query languages/tools.- Ability to learn new technologies related to the Web and application development.- Must be able to work independently and lead small teams.- Familiarity with common software development languages is preferred.- Ability to create, debug, secure, test, and optimize code for multiple web-based applications and services.- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines- Experience with creating realistic plans, goals, and aligning plans with company goals, managing resources, and creating contingency plans.- 10+ years of experience in application development, software design, and architecture.- Experience in a consulting environment with business analysis, data management, system architecture, and distributed technologies.- Strong understanding of database design.- Ability to evaluate an existing architecture and document issues and suggested improvements.- Presentation experience, and excellent oral and written communication skills.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
