Job Description

OverviewWe have another exciting opportunity at Adastra! Our team is in search of a seasoned Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills. If you possess a strong foundation in software engineering and have work experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), we encourage you to apply.Location: Hybrid only (3 days per week in Brampton, ON)Status: Contract or Full-TimeResponsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL and Python.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Airflow to process and analyze large datasets.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of data pipelines.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, Dataflow, and Airflow.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
