In this role, you will lead backend development efforts, guide the technical direction of our projects, and mentor a team of talented developers. Your deep knowledge of database technologies will be critical in shaping our backend architecture, ensuring scalability, and driving continuous improvement. You will serve as a subject matter expert in database technologies and backend development.Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of sophisticated backend solutions, focusing on database optimization and performance.
• Champion microservices with asynchronous communication and adopt cutting-edge technologies.
• Architect scalable and secure backend solutions that meet the needs of our growing user base.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Continuously refactor for efficiency and embed risk and security controls in your designs.
• Design and engineer solutions with a strategic focus on database performance, risk management, and security.
• Participate in the strategic development of platform architecture and infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on database systems.
• Ensure seamless alignment of production infrastructure with feature releases during SDLC cycles.
• Conduct risk assessments and design analyses for new business requirements.
• Collaborate with peer teams to deliver successful integration points.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our backend systems, particularly databases, remain modern and efficient.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.)
• Experienced Technology Lead with broad knowledge and skills across Technology and Business
• Extensive experience in backend microservices and databases
• Should have led and demonstrated transformation initiatives in complex global environment and progressive companies
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in hands on leadership with technology delivery, design, and development.
• Detailed experienced in Agile development teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of developers
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or Node j.s
• Exemplary communication and stakeholder management skills
• Leading by example, with hands on engineering attitude
• Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple parallel deliveries
• Experience working on Front of technology platforms
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
