In the role of IT Technical Support Representative, you will be joining a world-class Information Technology team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems. This position is fully onsite, alternating between our Dartmouth and Bedford offices, generally working Monday through Friday, dayshift hours. Responsibilities include:Identify, investigate, and resolve user problems with computer software and hardware.Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as needed.Field support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and other technical needs.Maintain and follow documentation for hardware, software, inventory, and support issues.Consult with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem.Apply knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.Guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.Collaborate with other staff to research and resolve problems.Collaborate with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs.Arrange services from software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.Maintain knowledge of technology, innovations and trends.Other duties as assigned You are:A professional with education in computer science (or related field) or experience with customer technical supportA highly motivated self-starter who takes initiativeA problem solverAn effective communicatorRelentless in pursuit of customer satisfactionComfortable working and thinking independentlyComfortable working and collaborating with teamsWilling to go the extra mile to get the job done and satisfy customers/stakeholdersAble to research technical support issues and test resultsAble to explain technical issues/jargon to technical and non-technical customersProficient supporting personal computers and Microsoft WindowsProficient in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory Extra awesome if you also have: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field3+ years of experience in customer technical supportTechnical support certifications such as A+Microsoft-specific certificationsExperience supporting Linux or Mac operating systemsExperience supporting mobile device managementExperience working with network, server, or cloud technologiesExperience with cybersecurity solutions and best practices One dream.
