We offer a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with opportunities for professional growth, recognition, and advancement.Job descriptionWe currently have a full-time position available for a Trailer Mechanic at our Truro location.This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a contagious can-do attitude in the workplace. We’re looking for a trailer mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of large commercial trailers. This is a physically demanding position that requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Repairing and replacing parts of trailers including mechanical, brakes, bearings, suspensions, electrical systems, and hitch installs
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer #39;s specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour costs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Review work orders and discuss work with Service Advisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
  • Previous dealership experience is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
  • 9-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On-Call rotation
  • Possible overtime
