Erect and dismantle, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites Assist trades people with assembly and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of buildingMove and prepare material to fabricate aluminium frames for glass installationAssist tradespersons such as glaziers in construction activitiesAssist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment, glass, glass panels and provide Assist Glaziers as needed to install, fit, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in commercial and residential buildings in collaboration with a glazing system assistance in other activitiesAssist in removal of old material on buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials Help hold and install field unit or glass panels into an aluminium curtain wall system or aluminium curtain wall facadeTend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as glass cutters, compressors and other equipment while assisting trades people. Assist in preparing and installing skylights in residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projectsDirect traffic at or near construction sitesPerform other activities at construction sites, as directed.Requirements2 or more years of experience as a Glazier/helper Solid understanding of Glass installationEmployee works independently on general assignmentsAbility to work safely and within safety guidelinesRigging certification is preferredManlift Certification is required and we can provideBenefitsExtended medical and Dental after 3 months. RRSP matching up to 3k after 2 years.To succeed in this role, applicants should have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
