Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist at Tall Tree, you’ll play a crucial role in redefining healthcare to prioritize holistic well-being and individualized care. You will deliver high-quality assessment and treatment services to clients facing a range of challenges— from mental health issues and physical injuries to brain injuries and work disabilities. This position includes a key role in Tall Tree #39;s interdisciplinary concussion services out of the beautiful Cordova Bay clinic. Specifically, we #39;re looking for an OT for our Early Concussion Assessment and Treatment (ECAT) program through WorkSafeBC. The ECAT program is delivered by a physical therapist and an occupational therapist. The primary focus of the program is early assessment, education, and reassurance, with focused intervention as needed, to facilitate a safe and durable return to work for injured workers with confirmed or suspected concussions. As the ECAT OT, you would develop individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each worker in the program. Treatment plans may include:

  • Vestibular rehabilitation
  • Physiotherapy treatment (for concussion-related whiplash)
  • Cognitive rehabilitation
  • Occupational therapy treatment in the clinic or the community
  • Group education and rehabilitation sessions
  • Return-to-work planning and support, which may include visiting a job site
This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional who believes in doing healthcare the way it should be done—by focusing on genuine connections, effective solutions, and the overall health of the individuals we serve. This is a full-time position, although part-time can be considered. Both independent contractor and employee options are available. Requirements
  • Master #39;s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • At least 1 year of experience in concussion care
  • Committed to clinical excellence and positive working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Registered in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
