Job Description

A top-tier, multi-disciplinary consultancy is growing its Environment, Socialamp; Governance (ESG) and regulatory-permitting practice to support major energy-transition and public-infrastructure programs across Western Canada. You will drive environmental impact assessments (EIA), lead permitting strategies, and embed ESG metrics into project delivery—from early feasibility through construction and operations.Key responsibilities

  • Lead or coordinate federalamp; provincial EA / EIA filings (Impact Assessment Act, BC Environmental Assessment Act).
  • Develop ESG baselines, materiality matrices, and KPI tracking frameworks for client portfolios.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary field programs—water, soil, air, biodiversity—and integrate findings into mitigation plans.
  • Prepare permit applications (Fisheries Act, Water Sustainability Act, Migratory Birds Regulations, etc.) and steward agency consultations.
  • Advise designamp; construction teams on compliance, offsetting, and adaptive-management measures.
  • Mentor junior scientists and support business-development proposals.
Requirements
  • P.Eng., P.Geo. or R.P.Bio. (or eligible) in BC—or other Canadian province with transferability.
  • 5–10 years on environmental permitting / impact assessments for energy, infrastructure, or mining projects.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating ESG reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD) into project evaluations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian federalamp; BC provincial regulatory pathways.
  • Excellent stakeholder-engagement and technical-writing skills.
