You will get to work on a variety of animation projects for our various game titles and collaborate with others to create high-level character animation as well as a variety of 2D motion graphics to attract people’s attention at a glance.The 2D Animator will be a part of the Animation team. Hyper Hippo’s Animation team is composed of a variety of creatives who have a passion for great design, fun animation, and pushing the boundaries of animated narrative for social media.A 2D Animator’s Impact

• Creating User Acquisition animated videos for various games
• Creating short narrative animations for social media and various ad networks
• Deliver variations of each ad unit for A/B testing
• Creating templates and pre-rigged characters to increase productivity and time
• Creating title sequences
• Animating characters
• Accurately estimate and manage timelines for the projects you are responsible for
• Communicate with other animators, designers, producers and directors
• Efficiently and effectively respond to feedback and revisions
• Collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, including the content team, marketing team, and games team
• Stay current with the latest animation techniques, plug-ins, and motion graphics to maintain visual innovation and growth in the game industry

Your Track Record Includes

• 3+ years of experience as a 2D Animator
• Competent with rigging tools such as Duik, Rubber hose, Joystick & Slider or any plugins that can be integrated in After Effects
• Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Animate and other various 2D animation software
• Demo reel that demonstrates your skills for both character animation and 2D motion graphics
• Prior experience with rigged/puppet/shape based 2D character animation is a must
• Flair for animating character moods, emotions, facial expressions, movements and behavior
• Strong understanding of the principles of animation, including timing, posing and staging, acting, dynamics, anatomy and physics
• Experience integrating characters into animated scenes and background environments
• Experience syncing animation to dialogue, sound effects, soundtrack
• Ability to storyboard based on a creative brief
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
