Position OverviewConceptualize and create Animation sequences, under the direction of the Director, in accordance with the aesthetic, creative and technical quality standards of the project. Supervise and review the efforts of the animation team, ensuring that deadlines are met, and creative goals are achieved.What you will be doing:Lead all efforts of both overseas and in-house animation teams that match the animation style and the creative vision of the Animation Director.Demonstrate a broad range of Animation abilities in a collaborative environment to maintain the overall style of the character animation.Provide feedback in the way of written notes, draw-overs and video calls with the teams for both Posing and Animation phases of the production pipeline.Provide feedback in a timely manner for all animation scenes as they are received for both Posing and Animation.Exercise strong leadership and communication skills to the team to ensure that animation assignments are understood and completed as per instructed.Exercise strong communication skills to Production to communicate that production deadlines/milestones are being met. If deadlines are not being met, have the ability to provide potential solutions.Actively promote and communicate sound solutions to technical and creative issues related to Animation.Maintain and communicate a strong knowledge of innovative animation technologies.Mentor and lead by example less experienced artists, providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that provide for their artistic and professional growth.Cultivate and maintain a creative and successful working relationship with the director. Be confident in your creative vision but flexible and open-minded to alternate ideas.Actively participate in team/department meetings. Consistently exercise sound judgment in all areas of performance.Assist in creating an "Animation Production Style Guide" as needed.What you bring with you:Experience as a 2D animator in Harmony.Experience as a lead animator, supervising animator, or animation director.Experience leading a team.Experience with outsource studios.Why Work at BardelWeve got great people here.
