Hello—we’re Trialfacts, a remote entrepreneurial company, and without us, a lot of health and medical research would not be possible. We’re searching for an Account Manager to help our team solve our clients’ biggest problem. If you’re looking for a position where you can set your own hours, take holidays as you see fit, work remotely from home or anywhere in the world, work closely with a team, be 100% focused on meaningful sales conversations, and help medical research succeed, then please read on.Today’s highly sophisticated medical system has added nearly 20 years of life expectancy, reduced infant mortality by 90% and maternal mortality by 99%. Polio, leprosy, smallpox, and tuberculosis are practically eradicated, even in the poorest countries in the world. Vaccines have greatly reduced the impact of COVID (and we assisted Moderna COVID vaccine studies in the US). There’s plenty of room for improvement, but advances in health that have been achieved over the past 20 years are due to new medications, medical devices and understanding developed through health research.Our clients—academic institutions, biotech, pharma and others are working hard to continue to develop treatments and devices, increase our understanding, eradicate sickness and improve quality of life. Their biggest challenge is spending half of their time searching for and never being able to recruit enough of the participants required for their health research. Some of our clients include AstraZeneca, Bayer, Brown University, Duke University, Harvard, Johns Hopkins University, Joslin Diabetes Centre, Mount Sinai Hospital, Stanford University, the University of Oxford, the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, the Westmead Institute for Medical Research, and Yale.Our company– Trialfacts, removes the biggest hurdle and frustration to conducting their research, by recruiting the participants they require for their health research (and many times thereby saving their research). We believe that health research is crucial to the advancement and wellbeing of humanity and we’re on a mission to positively impact 1 million people through participation in research, by 2030.WERE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN: Sell— We won’t ask you to do cold calling, as you’ll be speaking with potential clients who have scheduled a call, or inbound leads who have already shown interest in our services. No travel is required, as our sales process happens entirely over Zoom and email. We won’t even ask you to update the CRM, create proposals, or follow up via email, as you’ll be working closely with our New Client Coordinators who take care of that. But you will be expected to spend most of your time on calls with potential clients, and convince them to take the next step in our sales process.Educate— We believe that if we educate our clients about their situation and the solutions we provide, then they will become a client. It will be your responsibility to explain parts of our process they don’t understand, answer their questions, and show them how we would address their specific recruitment challenges. We’re looking for someone who is great at educating potential clients about the relevant parts of our service and making them feel comfortable about taking the next step to move forward.Problem-Solve— You’ll need to ask probing questions to understand our clients’ biggest challenges, so you can propose solutions right then and there when you’re talking with them. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate deep expertise in our services in order to be able to provide insightful suggestions when discussing potential clients’ challenges regardless of whether you have ever heard of or come across these challenges before.Learn— You’ll need to rapidly develop a thorough understanding of our industry, our clients, their concerns, our service, and new software and technology. You’ll be trained by our Sales Manager, so you can hit the ground running, but you’ll need to be great at taking feedback and immediately incorporating it, as well as learning independently from provided resources. On calls with potential clients, you’ll need to be adept at rapidly understanding their unique situation, and being able to focus on the parts of our service most relevant to them.WHATS IN IT FOR YOU: Autonomy — We don’t have set working hours. We don’t have a leave application process (you can take paid holidays whenever you want). We don’t micromanage or babysit. You’ll be accountable to the rest of the team purely on your results, and not on the number of hours spent working.Our team is 100% remote, always has been and was long before the pandemic, and we always will be. We communicate via Slack and Zoom. We set our own hours based on what works for us and our clients. As long as you have a good internet connection you can work from wherever in the world you choose.No Admin — Focus on what you do best: building relationships, educating prospects and convincing potential clients to take the next step forward. Your time will be spent almost entirely speaking with potential and existing clients. You won’t need to schedule your own calls, do email follow-up, update the CRM, create proposals or do your own lead generation.   • Excel at verbal communication - From chatting up potential clients to communicating with colleagues in a remote work environment, being able to speak well is a must for any Trialfacts position, especially this one.

This includes someone who is comfortable getting up to speed quickly and is able to quickly understand the unique situation each client is in, and isn’t afraid of diving into a new piece of software.
  • Love problem-solving - You’ll need to be able to talk with potential clients in order to examine their existing processes, and recognise and suggest potential improvements and insights. For existing clients, this will often include analyzing data in spreadsheets and our internal systems.
  • Are available for calls in US and Australian time zones - Our clients are approximately 70%/30% in the United States and Australia, and you’ll be expected to take all potential client sales calls. You’ll need to work with a lot of overlap between both time zones.
  • Have a strong work-ethic - You won’t have to do your own lead generation, CRM updating, email follow-up or other sales admin, but you will be expected to instead spend the majority of your workday speaking with potential clients and upselling existing clients. We’re a small and nimble but hard-working team.
  • Are flexible - In an entrepreneurial business we sometimes have to wear different hats. Were looking for someone that takes ownership and wants to help grow our company.
