You will be responsible for coordinating the volunteers and practicum students, assessing their needs, and meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers and practicum students. The coordinator will be responsible for managing volunteers and practicum students and their relationships with those they come into contact with at Atira, including women and children who access the programs, employees, and other service providers, as well as relationships with educational and vocational institutions, and with funders. The coordinator will monitor, evaluate and confirm volunteers in their positions and ensure practicum requirements are being met. The Coordinator will also be responsible for tracking and documenting volunteer hours and effectiveness, and for researching and writing volunteer policies and procedures, and developing the training programs and resources.About You:You believe in and are passionate about Atira’s mission, vision, and values. You are a creative problem solver, and have listening skills, patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor. You are respectful of the people you work with and demonstrate an eagerness for teamwork, collaboration and transparency. You have a minimum of one year of supervisory or program management experience; a college certificate in Volunteer Management and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Formal credentials will count only as much as work experience assuming the requisite combination of training and experience. For the right internal candidate, Atira will provide training support. Your communication skills are excellent and your written and oral English skills are impeccable or the equivalent combination of education, skill-based training, and proven working experience.You Have Also Have:
