We take care of our people who take care of the people we serve.Position Summary:The Administrative Program Assistant will be part of a large Youth Services team located in a vibrant and busy youth hub. This position is the 1st point of contact for multi-barrier youth, possibly in crisis, arriving at our centre, as well as visiting professionals and guests. The workspace is centrally located within the hub, and you must be adaptable to work within a lively and often noisy environment.The successful applicant will have experience working within a multi-program/multi-partnership youth-focused environment. Require excellent customer service skills and an exceptionally welcoming manner. They will receive and respond to telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner and manage multiple program referrals. Duties will include providing accurate word-processing support, editing & composing a wide variety of documents, assisting with organizing meetings and/or special events and research projects as directed. They will develop and maintain a well-organized filing system (paper and electronic) and upload documents to our database, permitting easy reference and rapid retrieval of information.This position requires excellent organizational skills, effective time management, detail-oriented, and prioritizing and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with computer applications/databases, excellent math skills, and strong communication skills with a diverse population.The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years of direct administrative support; experience in an alternate school or youth-focused setting is an asset.Basic Requirements:
