Job Description

Location: 168 East Pender Street, Vancouver BCScope of Position:This position will assist the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation with various administrative dutiesincluding support for events, donor and volunteer relations, community programs, administrativedocumentation, filing, and other organizational duties. We are seeking a self-starter who has a highdegree of attention to detail and is comfortable with the fast-paced nature of a small office.Why Apply for this position:

of the Foundation’s initiativesPrimary Responsibilities:
  • Support administrative duties related to the Foundation’s community projects and events
  • Assist with inventory management, systems support, and website updates and maintenance for
Foo Hung Curios
  • Assist with Chinatown Storytelling Centre membership database and reporting
  • Support community engagement and economic revitalization initiatives
  • Maintain VCF’s donor database (Keela) and support fundraising team and committees with their
cultivation and stewardship efforts This is an in-office position. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm,Monday to Friday.   • A passion for community building and creating long-term social change
  • Ability to take direction
  • Excellent communication skills - English (written and oral), an understanding of Cantonese or
written Chinese would be an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player with self-initiative to get things done
  • An interest in Chinatown, immigration history and local heritage
  • A valid driver’s license
