Role: Application Architect Claims/HealthcareLocation: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)Type: ContractJob Duties:

• Claims System Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints for claims processing systems, including data flow, integration points, and system interfaces, considering factors like patient demographics, provider billing codes, and payment calculations.
• Business Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand complex claims processing needs, identify pain points, and translate them into technical specifications for solution design.
• Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology stacks for claims systems, including platforms, databases, and integration tools, considering scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Integration Strategy: Design integration strategies to connect claims systems with other healthcare systems like Electronic Health Records (EHRs), provider portals, and payer platforms.
• Compliance Management: Ensure solution architecture adheres to relevant healthcare regulations, ensuring data privacy and security.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize claims processing speed and efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in a Claims Processing or Healthcare environment
• Minimum 4 years experience with Java, Cobol and Mainframe
• Minimum of 3 years #39; experience in Public Sector
• 3 years #39; experience with healthcare industry standards like HL7 and EDI
• Deep understanding of healthcare claims processing workflows, including billing codes, claim adjudication rules, and reimbursement methodologies.
• 3 years #39; experience in enterprise-grade architecture design principles, including scalability, security, and data management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and project managers.
• Minimum 4 year degree preferred
• TOGAF Certification or similar preferred but not required
