Requirements:
  • Should have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments, and all housekeeping staff
  • Obtains list of vacant rooms to be cleaned immediately & list of prospective checkouts or discharges in order to prepare work assignments
  • Experience with turn down service, special needs of VIP guests/amenities is as asset
  • Minimum 1 year in a management role, preferably in a four/five-star hotel environment.
  • Maintains clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and other departments of the hotel
  • Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience at a four or five diamond level.
  • Inventories of cleaning supplies & linen stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Strong communication skills toward guests and staff
  • Schedules cleaning for lobby area, public restrooms, telephone areas, hallways, entrances, and elevators
  • Scheduling cleaning of all meeting rooms after a completed function
  • Scheduling of weekly deep cleaning of all guestrooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms
  • Investigating concerns regarding housekeeping service and equipment and taking corrective action immediately
  • Advising management, front office, and admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy in an organized and timely manner
  • Printing all housekeeping related reports and documentation
  • Assigning team members to their duties and inspecting work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
  • Scheduling periodic major cleaning projects throughout the property on a monthly basis
  • Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required.
