Also, supports the day-to-day management of the overall warehouse operation in the establishment of operational procedures for managing incoming and outgoing shipments. The Assistant Manager has a hands-on role and is responsible for the second shift in the warehouse that includes afternoon weekdays and Saturdays.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESReview the orders to be processed and assign the work in the WMS, according to the strategy agreed with the Warehouse Manager.Supervise the performance of the warehouse team and ensure that the proper procedures are followed.Plan the activities and resources needed in the receiving area and have good communication with the transportation companies.Supervise the reception and delivery of packages from/to carriers.Ensure we follow all customers’ Vendor Guidelines, and the warehouse staff are all trained on the requirements.Helps develop, continuously improves, and implements warehouse policies and procedures to improve warehouse performance and productivity.All products must be clearly marked; bin located and laid out in the most efficient way to pick the orders and be received by our customers.Ensure the team is doing the proper daily cleaning in the warehouse and in their personal work tools.Mentoring and conducting performance reviews with direct reports.Maintain good communication with other departments in the company and with the suppliers.Other related duties that may arise from time to time.GOALS AND OBJECTIVESAll B2B and D2C orders should be processed and shipped in 48 hours max (the Warehouse Manager will define the exceptions for Key Accounts).Team productivity will be more than 95%.99% of shipments with no differences in random counting for B2B.B2B customer satisfaction survey more that 95%.Keep the overall inventory variance at 0.05% of moved goods annually.Report any issues with inbound shipments to purchasing with pictures and suggestions on how they can improve.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience3+ years in a previous warehouse supervisory roleKnowledge of how a Warehouse Management System worksKnowledge, Abilities, and skillsMust be willing to work as a member of a team and be flexible in undertaking a variety of duties that will contribute to the success of the organization.Ability to appreciate and understand the opportunities, challenges, and limitations of a small business.Ability to work with computer applications, including Excel.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work long hours during peak periods.Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive attitude.Order picker and forklift reach knowledge.Physically able to lift to 40 pounds.How to ApplyExpiring: Aug 31, 2021Email: jobs@rcpets.com
