We care for people, and make it our purpose to build long-lasting, genuine relationships.Here, we do what we were born to do.Rosewood Hotel Georgia is looking for Banquet Servers.The Banquet Servers will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Assist with banquet setups/breakdowns. Must have a flexible schedule.Key Responsibilities:Be familiar with all the Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.Aide in the service and hospitality of all Banquets and hotel guests at all timesAssist servers in all aspects of food service; from setting silverware, serving food, clearing, and cleaning the tables.Record order of guest on proper seat and table numbers.Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by the Culinary Department.Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to guest.Open and serve wine/champagne bottles with proper presentation and service technique.Make and serve all varieties of coffee.Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest.Maintain complete knowledge of sections and table numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the lounge.All liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes.All menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish and method of presentation. Micros P.O.S. and manual systems.Take guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.Responsible for attending briefings, seminars, etc. to educate themselves about our products, our property, and our standards.To make sure all shift duties are complete, and sections are maintained to hotel standards.All other duties as required.Qualifications:At least 1 year experience as a Banquet Server in a luxury hotel environment.High school diploma.Ability to understand guests' service needs; ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time; ability to focus attention on details; ability to suggestively sell restaurant menu items, beverages and wines; ability to access and input information into P.O.S. system; ability to maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly; ability to exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage guests; ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
