Job Description

Wildlight is a new full-service restaurant by one of Western Canada’s largest employers. With a west coast concept and lively feel, Wildlight will celebrate the current and distinctive food culture of British Columbia’s west shore, a region with an affinity for local and seasonal produce, fresh Pacific seafood, sustainability, cultural diversity, and chef-driven culinary traditions.We are hiring for a Bartender, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC areaYou will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and interacting with all customers and explaining all specials, promotions and food items on the menu.
  • Efficiently preparing drinks to industry and brand standards.
  • Recommending food pairings with wine and beverage options.
  • Performing responsible alcohol service per company and brand standards.
  • Utilizing POS systems, key functions on terminal, and cash out procedures.
  • Ensuring customer needs are met, including keeping beverages full, providing additional condiments and food items and following up with customers during their meal.
  • Adhering to sanitation and safety standards while maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Fostering a positive environment that is focused on always customer first service and assisting other servers and team members as needed.
You have:
  • Minimum one year of bartending experience.
  • Food Safe Certification is considered an asset.
  • Serving it Right is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with computers and applications including POS systems.
You are:
  • 19 years or older
  • Detail oriented with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable on beer, wine & spirits, food and beverage preparation, service standards, customer relations and etiquette.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
