Job Description

Role Overview:We #39;re looking for part-time or full-time Bilingual QA VR Specialists to join our growing team. This role will be for a 3-month contract starting in January 2025. As a Bilingual QA VR Specialist, you will be responsible for thoroughly testing VR experiences built in Unity, identifying and addressing any issues to guarantee a seamless user experience. Fluency in both English and French is essential to facilitate clear communication with the team and document findings. You’ll play a key role in collaborating with developers, designers, and artists to ensure the final product meets our quality benchmarks.We are dedicated to creating immersive educational programs for universities using VR technology. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences. We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Specialist who is bilingual in English and French, with expertise in VR and Unity, to ensure our educational content meets the highest standards.What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and evaluate VR educational environments, ensuring they align with design goals and technical standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive functionality, performance, and compatibility tests on various VR platforms, including Igloo Vision and Meta Quest 3.
  • Report and document bugs, issues, and areas for improvement in a detailed and structured way.
  • Suggest and implement best practices for QA processes, ensuring smooth development and optimization of VR projects.
  • Verify the correct integration of UI, animations, physics, and other components to ensure a polished and cohesive user experience.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to improve functionality, usability, and overall user experience.
  • Communicate test results, feedback, and recommendations in both English and French.
Who You Are:
  • Fluent in both English and French (verbal and written), with strong communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA testing, with a focus on VR/AR applications.
  • Solid understanding of Unity3D and VR development, with a familiarity with platforms like Meta Quest 3 and Igloo Vision.
  • Experience with testing VR interactions, user interfaces, rendering, and audio elements.
  • Knowledgeable about Agile development processes, capable of adapting to changing requirements.
  • Skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks and troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple VR platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software and version control systems (PlasticSCM, Unity Collab, Git).
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with educational software or content creation.
  • Background in VR performance optimization, specifically for educational contexts.
  • Experience providing QA insights to development teams, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Unity’s render pipelines, shaders, and external plugin integrations.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and automated testing tools.
Location: This position is 100% remote; however, only candidates based in Canada and with Canadian Citizenship or PR will be considered. Some regional travel may be required to meet with the client and fulfill business needs.While Aequilibrium is a remote-first company, we host in-person social events and team-building activities.
